We've had a lot of weather warnings scroll across the bottom of our television lately. They look like this:
Wow! Thunderstorms with deadly lightning? I've never seen the word deadly before lightning. This is quite a storm...until I realize that is not what it says.
Now we have to watch out for deadly "lighting."

Would that deadly lighting come from putting a 100 watt bulb in a 60 watt socket? LOL
It seems editing has gone the way of the dinosaurs nowadays. There are SO many spelling & grammatical errors on the news, in print & on signs. It's a fairly disappointing commentary on society these days, actually, that so few care to ensure the finished product looks good.
