Not sure how to handle this yet. It is wrong, just wrong. Sure there are plenty of other things to get upset about, but when someone steals and profits from their thefts, they should be stopped.
I took some screenshots tonight. Here is the first one:
Check out the Spicy BBQ Chicken recipe, here, take a closer look:
This site has a lot of advertising going on, even from one of my favorite airlines-Southwest Airlines. The chicken looks delicious, and familiar, like I've had it before. Oh wait, that is MY chicken:
Only they've cropped my photo so the 13Recipes insignia at the bottom is missing. Others are pinning my pic to pinterest from this other website, and this recipepunch site is making a profit off of stealing recipes and photos from other people.
I am not sure what to do about it yet...we are in the middle of The Wedding Week for Christina, but I am NOT a happy camper about this.

What?!! This is horrible!! I'm sorry Joanne!
I know how you feel. I have had three patterns of mine stolen and used by commercial companies. And this was before the world of online web sites. -------Mom
Are your pictures still "yours" when you publish them to blogger? Not sure what blogger's license agreement says.
Google owns blogger, correct? If so, this is what you need to read:
http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/terms/
and the pertinent information:
"When you upload or otherwise submit content to our Services, you give Google (and those we work with) a worldwide licence to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works (such as those resulting from translations, adaptations or other changes that we make so that your content works better with our Services), communicate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute such content."
In other words, it appears when you upload an image, sure you retain the rights (ownership) of that image, but Google (AND ANYONE THEY WORK WITH) the right to use that image.
I don't think they would be allowed to use it without credit though.
Joanne, any updates about all the people backing out of your daughter's wedding? Are you in a church family that can step in? Or are they the ones who've backed out? We know a musician in Colorado, and that's about it.
This makes me so mad
Natalia, the wedding is continuing to come together and continuing to have hiccups. Currently we have everything covered again and hopefully that will last through Saturday! Who is the musician? We do have someone who is singing and doing some worship songs (at least that was the last I'd heard.)
Thanks all for your encouraging words. Mom, it is too bad you did not get credit and PAID for your stolen ideas, that is just wrong.
EEK! =(
